Oooo! Is there a website or guide to doing an instant urban Trail? I should do one for Jersey City for that matter New York City I used to lead walking and biking tours of the community gardens of New York City. That would be a nice way to start a route.
Deirdre, that's very much something I'm going to be creating this winter! A guide on how to make an Instant Urban Trail. There have been some webinars on the matter but as far as I can tell, there's no simple how-to guide out there yet. That will be on the Walking City Trail website (BostonTrails.org) and I'll share the news here when it's available. It will be up before April.
New York could have so many of these trails....even as a visitor, I've gone on improvised routes from one park to another, and it's been so much fun. Central to Vancortlandt via Fort Tryon was especially fun. Do it!!!
